Provençal tian

The tian is much more than a salad bowl: it is a traditional Provençal vessel, recognisable by its flared shape and its small hand-formed pouring lip. This one is made in France, in glazed terracotta, by potters working in the traditional way, which gives it both character and strength.

In the kitchen it is useful at every stage: mixing a batter, setting a preparation aside, pouring off a juice thanks to the lip. Glazed terracotta naturally keeps food cool, which makes it a reliable companion for everyday cooking.
