Since 1945, Duralex has been making tempered glass objects in the north of France that have become quiet classics of the French table. The Picardie plate is one of the clearest examples: a recognisable curve, bevelled lines that give the glass a presence both light and solid, a silhouette you know at a glance.

This navy version breaks with the usual clear versions. The colour is bold and deep, and enough on its own to give a dinner service character. On an everyday table as much as when entertaining, it holds its own without overdoing it.

Tempered glass gives real resistance to heavy use: these plates go in the dishwasher and the microwave without losing their look or their strength. The 23 cm diameter is the standard soup plate size, suited to soups, pasta or dishes in sauce.
