Chapeau breton paille

In Brittany, the hat was long a central element of traditional dress. Worn daily as well as at festivals, pardons and gatherings, it identified the wearer's origin, status or the occasion.
Straw hats were among the most common models, appreciated for their lightness and comfort in the summer months.

Made of woven natural straw, it has a velvet ribbon with a golden buckle.
It fits naturally into a traditional Breton costume, but can also be worn at cultural events or as part of a polished summer outfit.
