This food-grade walnut oil, pressed from 100% Californian walnuts, boasts unique properties that make it indispensable both for painting and for protecting wood surfaces. Unlike other varieties, this oil is siccative, meaning that it hardens on contact with air, forming a solid, long-lasting protective layer.

Chemically speaking, walnut oil is somewhere betweenlinseed oil andpoppy seed oil, but dries fasterthan poppy seed oil and is less prone to yellowing. Its fluid texture and exceptional ability to absorb pigments make it a popular choice for oil paints and high-end artists' paints.
