Description

A historic detail for a neat facade.

Both functional and ornamental, this brass shutter stop is reminiscent of the decorative codes of the 18th century, when sculpted stops depicting shepherdesses', horses' or men's heads were favored as a refined detail on facades.

This model is reversible, featuring two sculpted faces: the man's head appears when the shutter is held open, while the shepherdess's head is revealed when the shutter is closed.

This latch embodies a decorative tradition long rooted in the art of exterior metalwork. More than a technical accessory, it's a discreet and elegant nod to history.

In addition to its aesthetic role, this stop fulfills its primary function: preventing the shutter from flapping in the wind. The shutter remains firmly attached to the façade, even in bad weather. Once lowered, the head allows the shutter to be easily released.

An accessory for faithful restorers or lovers of beautiful pieces that tell something of the past.

Latch clearance when closed: 6 cm.

Sold with rod and dowel.
