Description

Silver chain with silver pendant representing the Cross of Camargue, Cross of the gardians or Cross of the Holy Maries of the Sea, created in 1926 at the request of the Marquis de Baroncelli. It symbolizes the gardian nation by associating the gardians by the tridents at each end of the cross (Faith), the fishermen by the anchor (Hope) and the Holy Marys by the heart (Charity).

The Camargue Cross is a powerful symbol of Camargue culture. It unites three values: faith, represented by the cross; hope, symbolised by the anchor; and charity, figured by the heart. Designed in 1924 by Hermann Paul at the request of the Marquis Folco de Baroncelli, it also evokes the soul of the Camargue: the trident-shaped ends recall the gardians and their traditions.

The necklace is easy to wear, for a modern look at any age, and goes with every style. Fine and discreet, it completes a silver set available on our site: the ring and the bracelet.

The silver chain adjusts from 40 cm to 45 cm.

The necklace comes in 2 sizes:

Small model: height 18 mm (bail included)
Width: 9 mm

Large model: height 23 mm (bail included)
Width: 13 mm
