Praxinoscope

This praxinoscope is faithful to the models of the late nineteenth century, made with quality materials and assembled by hand. The praxinoscope, invented in 1877 by the Frenchman Emile Raynaud, is an optical device which allows to animate strips of fixed images thanks to mirrors and a rotating drum. This device is very interesting to understand the phenomenon of retinal persistence. It will also amaze the amateurs of animation cinema who will be able to try to create their own strip!
